Germany 2017

On April 16-22, The team of Georgian students  attended the “24 th International Conference of Young Scientists’’ which was held in Stuttgart. Young scientists from 29 countries competed in Physics, Math, the Life Sciences, and Computer sciences.

This year about 200 students presented their works in English to competent jury members. The Georgian team consisted of 10 students from Georgian-American High school and Georgian-American school.

 

Altogether the Georgian team presented 6 projects and 5 of them won awards:

  • Silver medal– Tinatin Kamkamadze and Archil Gelenava- Life Science

  • Bronze medal_ Mariam Gigauri- Physics

  • Bronze medal- Mariam Rostiashvili- Maths

  • Bronze medal- Mamuka kobakhidze and Davit Gudadze- Maths

  • Special Prize_ Giorgi Bugechashvili and Tinatin Laghadze- Maths

At the end of the conference, closing ceremony was held. Each country performed their own cultural shows. The Georgian dances accompanied by guitar were applauded. In May our students will defend Georgian honor in the USA. This year INTEL ISEF will be held in Los Angeles, California.
