Georgian-American high school students, who competed on behalf of Georgia at the International Young Scientists Olympiad - IJSO, won a bronze medal.

This year the 13th IJSO Olympiad was held on December 8-18. Teams from 52 countries participated in the Olympiad. There are 6 students in each team, not older than 16 years. Students compete with each other in 3 natural sciences - Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

The Olympiad is held in 3 rounds and includes test, theoretical and experimental tasks. IJSO - is considered one of the most difficult Olympiad in the world and it lasts for 10 days. Team leaders and students present their work separately. This year the leaders stayed at the Grand Hyatt Bali Hotel in Bali while the students stayed at the Purana Suite Ubud Hotel.

The agenda of Olympic excursions is always well-organized. Students and leaders toured the Bali sights, leaving an indelible impression on Bali's nature and monumental sculptures.

The following IJSO host countries are already known. In the following years, the Olympiad will be held in the Netherlands, Botswana and Qatar.
