International Activities
There are 3 types of competitions for schoolchildren in the world:
Exhibitions, conferences, Olympiads .
GAHS is actively involved in all of them.
Exhibitions
 INTEL ISEF - GAHS has participated since 2005 
 
MILSET - GAHS has participated
 since  2019 

ISEF - International Science and Engineering Fair is the largest student competition in the world. Since 1950 , it has been held annually in the US. The authors of the winning GAHS projects, on behalf of Georgia, travel to the United States and participate in a competition with 1,800 peers from 80 countries around the world.

Each participant presents their work on the stand and defends their work before a jury, often composed of Nobel Prize winners.

The director of the school, Mamuka Meskhishvili, founded the INTEL ISEF Representation in Georgia in 2005 - GEO 001, called the Georgian Science Projects Olympiad  https://findafair.societyforscience.org/?form=

MILSET  Is a non-governmental, non-profit and politically independent youth organization that aims to develop a scientific culture among young people.

ICYS  International Conference of Young Scientists  Is a competition for high school students aged 14-18.
Presentations are divided into the following categories:


Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Environmental Sciences, Engineering and Life Sciences.

All participants have to prepare a research report presentation in any subject of their choice.

IMUNA - International Model United Nations Association Also Known As  UN or MUN  Is an educational academic activity where students can learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations.  MUN incorporates and teaches participants speaking, debate, and writing skills, as well as critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Mu Alpha Theta -  GAHS participates since 2005
IJSO GAHS  Participates since 2016

Mu Alpha Theta  divided the world into  4 regions   https://mualphatheta.org/ .

Georgian-American High School belongs to the 3rd region, which includes:

Alabama, Connecticut, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Vermont and Eastern Europe .

For three consecutive academic years - 2016-2017, 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 School has won Log 1  Contest competition  .

​​IJSO - International Junior Science Olympiad is an international academic competition held annually. It is the only academic competition that simultaneously covers physics, chemistry and biology . Up to 50 countries take part in it every year. The competition is known for its difficulties because it requires knowledge of all three sciences. The best students are selected from each country and each is given the opportunity to compete with its competitor from all over the world.
